Summer Solstice Celebration

£45.00Summer Solstice Celebration:
Join us at sunrise on Saturday, June 21st, at 6am as we welcome a truly special moment to honour the Summer Solstice—the longest day of the year, a time of abundance and growth. This is a powerful opportunity to reflect on how far we’ve come and, with the energy of the summer sun, give thanks for the strength to continue our journey through the year ahead.
Together, we will practice 108 Sun Salutations, a sacred number in yoga that represents the whole of existence. This moving meditation offers a beautiful chance to connect deeply with yourself while embracing the rhythm of nature, all set against the breathtaking backdrop of Rutland Water.
Our resident yoga teacher, Tash Davidson, will lead the practice. With over a decade of experience rooted in the transformative Mysore Ashtanga self-practice, Tash remains a dedicated student of yoga, passionate about its physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual benefits.
-
The first half of the practice will be guided, with breath and movement options for all levels.
-
The second half will be a self-led practice, allowing you to move at your own pace, taking rest whenever needed.
This is both a physical and mental challenge, not suitable for absolute beginners—but if you’re feeling curious and adventurous, you are always welcome! Once you complete your 108 Sun Salutations, you’ll settle into a well-earned Savasana under the open sky—so don’t forget to bring a cosy jumper!
Afterwards, relax and nourish yourself with a healthy breakfast in The Bothy, taking time to reflect on your experience and connect with others in our community.
