Discover the art of pottery in this hands-on course with ceramic artist Katherine Staples. Each session is designed to help you create stunning, functional, and decorative ceramics – from mugs and bowls to platters and candle holders – with the opportunity to personalise your pieces through glazing.

Join this five-week course to explore a range of techniques, including hand-building, slab-building, decorating, and glazing, or simply drop in for individual classes.

Course Schedule:

Week 1 Friday 6th June: Slab-built mug
Weeks 2 Friday 13th June: Hand-built bowl or vase
Week 3 Friday 20th June: Platter or pinch pot bowls
Week 4 Friday 27th June: Candle stick holder 
Week 5 Friday 4th July: Soap dish or glazing (for those booked on the 5 week course)

This course is perfect for all levels, offering a relaxed and creative environment.

Katherine Staples, a DeMontfort University BA Design Crafts graduate and Loughborough University MA Studio Ceramics graduate, draws inspiration from the movement of water in her own stunning ceramic sculptures.
