Guided by experienced botanical artist Dawn Wright, this workshop invites you to explore the powerful impact of colour on your well-being and learn about the history and folklore surrounding each colour. Discover the therapeutic potential of colours as you engage in simple watercolour exercises to familiarise yourself with basic techniques.
Colour is so powerful; it can lift our mood, it can raise our spirits; it evokes memories; it steers our emotions. We surround ourselves in colour: in our home, what we wear, what we create. Engaging in art activities can help us to address or overcome obstacles, to feel better about ourselves. It offers a form of escape, an opportunity to make new friends and to increase confidence when facing challenges.
Throughout this workshop, you will learn about the relevance of each individual colour in relation to mindfulness, relaxation, positive energy and calm, the psychological effects of different colours and how they can influence your mood and emotions. From soothing blues and greens to vibrant warm hues, each colour has a unique role in promoting relaxation and positive energy.
With individual support from Dawn, explore the fun and joy of creating, without rules or limitations, leading to a sense of calm, peace, positivity and restfulness.
