This step-by-step workshop is designed for all skill levels, whether you’re a complete beginner or looking to refine your technique. You’ll start with guided exercises to master the basic strokes, progress to forming the letters of the alphabet, and then transform them into elegant words. To finish, you’ll apply your new skills to beautiful card templates designed by Kirsten Burke, the UK’s leading calligrapher.

Your confidence will grow as you gradually build on the techniques that make modern calligraphy so captivating. By the end of the session, you’ll be able to connect letterforms and craft your own calligraphic words and phrases.

The workshop includes both group demonstrations and one-on-one guidance from Vicky, ensuring personalised support to help you troubleshoot and refine your skills.

You’ll also explore techniques like using metallic inks, blending colours, and experimenting with letterforms. With these skills in your repertoire, you’ll be ready to create unique greeting cards, party invitations, and artworks for your home or loved ones.
